Membership Conditions

Who can apply to join the SETI Alliance?

The Alliance embraces representatives of the private sector, of think-tanks and research institutes, intergovernmental organizations and government agencies, which share the objectives of the Alliance.

Government agencies and international organizations joining the Alliance sort under the category of Observers, and all other organizations and individuals belong to the category of Members or Supporters.

Further ways to support the SETI Alliance and its campaign can be through:

  • Government grants - either directly or as part of ICTSD financing
  • Event Partners: Sponsorship of specific SETI activities
  • Associated Partners: Organizations that can help SETI by providing its infrastructure, research and outreach (such as NGOs and others)

What is expected of Members and Supporting Partners?

Members and Supporting Partners are expected to share the objectives of the SETI Alliance and to act accordingly.

Members are expected to make a financial contribution.

They are also expected to submit a statement of the value of sustainable energy trade initiatives, or of the SETI Alliance, which will be posted online and in printed marketing material. Last, they are required to market the SETI Alliance on their own website, and to work towards recruiting new Members.
